In December 2019, Steve Phillip received a call which would change his life forever – his son Jordan had taken his own life. Faced with the choice of either sitting on a sofa with a bottle or creating something to prevent other families having to experience the trauma of losing a loved to suicide, Steve chose the latter.
Steve soon established The Jordan Legacy CIC to provide hope to people who are feeling suicidal, by engaging all those who share his ambition to move toward a zero-suicide society.
In Steve’s session, you will gain a clearer understanding of mental ill-health and suicide, including the stigma surrounding both and how we can all play our part in creating a ‘Zero Suicide Society’. You will learn how you can help someone who is feeling suicidal.

Within 12 months of this life-changing experience, Steve established The Jordan Legacy CIC to provide hope to people who are feeling suicidal, by engaging all those who share his ambition to move toward a ‘Zero Suicide Society’.
With a following of more than 56,000 people on LinkedIn, Steve delivers impactful and inspiring talks, like his keynote presentation; ‘The ‘S’ word’, using his own lived experience and insight to help others spot the signs that someone might be struggling with their mental health and how to provide support to those who are feeling suicidal.
Steve delivers talks on the topic of suicide awareness and prevention to corporate organisations, charities, education centres, the Police, the Military and other organisations and community groups throughout the UK and overseas, including policy makers in various UK Government departments.
As part of our dedication to building a community of small business owners, we run a series of networking events. Obviously we call them Not Just Networking! Each event has a keynote speaker talking about a wide range of topics such as branding, food, security and mindfulness. There is chance to network and mingle at the start and end of each event with an informal and friendly bunch of people.
